I have GERD and it resulted stomach ulcers. I've used two week anti-biotics medication for ulcers and now they are cured. Now I'm on a regular medication of PPI (Omperazole).
I'm planning to take a life insurance policy, Is this condition effects my policy? Do I need to inform the insurer about this condition?
I've had it all my life; diagnosed last year. 48 years I was totally oblivious (except for throwing up every morning). I can't see that it would be an issue with life insurance as it's not really life threatening or shortening. I wonder too about reporting beforehand because they can add conditions that they won't cover. I would ring up a couple of companies and ask about pre existing conditions. Ring from a work phone and only give your first name and don't sign up for the first product you see.
