I am a working woman and suffering from obesity from two years. I have a BMI of 24.5 and have tried all things from crash dieting to medical pills to shed the extra fat. Day by day I’m getting very depressed due to this obesity. I want to know that is there any alternative to lose the extra fat other than pills and supplements. I don’t want to do crash dieting and unable to do exercises. Please suggest me any option.
First of all, a BMI of 24.5 is normal weight not overweight. Normal weight BMI runs from 18.5 to 24.9, so you are within normal limits. BMI over 25.0 to 25.9 are considered overweight and BMI over 30.0 is considered obese. No worries! You are within normal limits!!! The best thing you can do is to eat a healthy, well balanced diet and watch your food portions and try to do 30 minutes moderate intensity exercise every day. Crash diets and pills will take the weight off but that type of diet is not sustainable in the long term and as soon as you go back to eating normally, you gain the weight back. So the best thing to do is to change your lifestyle and eat healthy foods at healthy portions to maintain your weight. (You are not overweight so you just need to maintain your weight at this point.)
