I was in pain off and on for about a week so I scheduled a Dr appointment for Monday. However the pain has now subsided.
You may not find out for sure unless you go to the ER when it first occurs.
A HIDA scan may be tho most significant of the scans.
Liver enzymes may or may not be elevated.
It depends on if you had an obstruction or not. It will show the gb duct and looks for any dilatation. It also shows how well the gb is contracting.
OR it may not show anything abnormal.
If you have the test as emergency room patient there will probably be a greater chance of getting it done.
So the question is :
- Wait for another Acute attack and go to the ER.
- Request the tests now with possibility it won't get done by your Primary especially with no pain.
It depends on how open he is without blaming it on anxiety.
The more you request it, the less likely it will get done.
