In my initial diagnostic work-up of neuropathy involving my feet, I was surprised to learn from the neurologist that I had no reflexes in my ankles or knees. This was prior to being started on gabapentin. He rechecks them at each 6 month visit, but they remain absent. I don't think this is an unexpected finding clinically, but it is kind of frightening to hear this as the patient. Good luck to you; hope the gabapentin helps relieve some of your discomfort.
