I take 1800 MG 2 x day for neuropathy from chemo. I have been on it 5 years. Does it cause any organ damage? Sometime I have foggy brain chemo or gabapentin? Any thoughts on this
adoptcats; Not really anything that says problems with long term use, I also have foggy brain from time to time and it is from the chemotherapy im on. But you can also get it from time to time I found out on the gabapentin also depending if I took it with a meal or empty stomach so when I started always taking it the same way that part went away. Except for the part from the chemo. You might just ask the doctor when your in next. But I know of many people on this and they have no problems so I really don't think any of it is from the gabapentin Best of luck.to you Chuck1957
I went through chemo suffer from a neuropathy as well, chemo fog I did have but it cleared of a period of a year. With that high dosage of gabapentin I believe you could I use to take 1200 daily had some issues with it. The Neurologist put me on Lyrica 100 mg 3 times daily and my issues with memory have quit. If you Goggle Gabapentin/Lyrica it will give you a comparison, I discovered (can't remember sight) a Neurologist's position was he had better results with lower dosages of Lyrica than Gabapentin. Good luck I hope you stay in remission God Bless
