I was prescribe Citalopram 50mg and Klonopin 2mg. Every 5 years my antidepressant stops working. I was switched to Effexor XR 75mg and Gabapentin 600mg 1 three times daily. The Klonopin 2mg only if needed. I feel the Effexor XR works well, but I feel shakey and was falling asleep during the day so I switched to taking it at night. I also take 15mg of Remeron at bedtime. I still feel the anxiety, was wondering if anyone else was on this combo? I have only been on the Effexor 75mg for 3 weeks, does it get better?
Everyone is different. To an extent;
Effexor CAUSED anxiety, depression, anger outbursts, suicidal feelings, and led to extremely poor decision making.
I am anti-antidepressant. I think this drug class has done far more damage to our culture than any narcotic epidemic.
I've seen scholars reduced to padded rooms after five years on these psyc drugs.
Just educate yourself on EVERY pro and con.
The ONLY psyc drug I take is diazepam, 5mg @ night for night terrors/muscle spasms.
Occasionally (3-5 x's a week) I use .5mg alprazolam on a PRN basis because of panic disorder.
Absolutely NO SSRI/SNRI's for THIS guy though!
