diagnosed with high blood pressure and have been put on Furosemide. When can I take this? I don't want it to interact with the Synthroid. Could someone tell me if it is safe at the same time?
Hello. The drug you are taking, depending upon reason, is a water pill. It reduces edema, thick ankles, etc. it does not interfere with synthroid and related thyroid meds. If you are taking it for heart related condition be sure to check with those as well.
After you take the thyroid med with a full glass of water only and wait for the needed half hour after awaking in the morning, you are safe to take it with your breakfast or anytime later. Take as prescribed.
You can also call the pharmacist and ask for suggestions. Good luck and hope you improve quickly.
