Sept.15 had sex with my boyfriend but unfortunately the condom broke. i remember my friend had told me about plan B. Being as scared as we were we went to the nearest pharmacy and they prescribed me w next choice... I took it within an hour after sex... Ive felt a little bit of constipation and kinda fatigue... Im not sure what to think being a first time user, can I get any advise?
Plan b and Next Choice are about the same thing and one is as effective as the other. You took it well within time and it should give you about an 80% chance to avoid pregnancy. It can delay your period. It can also give you early pregnancy like side effects so many girls get very scared when their period is delayed. If you don not have a period by the end of October, then you can test then for pregnancy. Testing any earlier is too early. Chances are good that you will be fine. Perhaps, since you are sexually active, you may want to see about getting on regular birth control pills. When taken properly and consistently, they are about 98-99.9% effective. Much more effective than doses of Plan b or next Choice after the fact!
