got a 1 week supply of lortab. works well but makes me a little itchy...cant itch under a cast damn it and benedryl made me pass out while filling out an application for a job lol
I fractured my ankle once and it took about 6-8weeks to heal, but a hand could be different,as far as the tylenol 3,thats what they put me on,but more than twice a day,i can see how thats not helping you with the pain at all. I would ask for something different/stronger,or taking the tylenol 3 more often.
sorry to hear about your hand, and i dont know if an ankle and hand would take the same amount of time,a fracture is a fracture, but like i said mine took almost 2months to completely heal. sorry i couldnt be of more help. Hope you feel better real soon! T
It all depends on the type of fracture you have. Bones usually take 2 to 4 months to heal. I would recommend talking either of the medications you mentioned. You can take up to 4 grams of Acetaminophen (You probably already know this) a day. I would personally try the Acetaminophen alone first to see if that works, if it doesn't do much than talk to your doctor about the Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen narcotic. I have also broken bones in my hand. I had a cast on for approximately 2 months. Luckily mine weren't that bad and I didn't need to take anything for pain. Like I said earlier though it all depends on the type of fracture. I hope this helps and I hope you get the proper pain relief. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Never fractured my hand but has to be painful and sorry to hear this. Not sure on the healing time but will be a couple of weeks I'm sure.Get in touch with your orthopedic doctor and see if he can prescribe you something stronger Tylenol 3 or Vicotin. One of these will surely help.Mongainchrist
