They are as described above. He says it is Melatonin. Could it be?

By the sound of your description yes they probally are Melatonin. But you may want to take it to your pharmist for further info. Most medications are stamped with something. Melatonin is a safe sleep agent, my 5 year old nephew was told to take them from his Dr.
I would run not walk to the nearest Pharmacy and ask to have them identify this pill, I would never want a kid of mine taking medication that was not prescribed to them by the family doctor. And why are you finding them in his room, was he hiding them? And if so why? You have many unanswered questions. For the safely and well being of your son, I would get them identified. If he needs this sort of medication. Take him to a doctor ASAP. I wish you luck , Bless you, please let us know the outcome, OK..
