I found a half pill. It's dark yellow, thick capsule shape and is mostly brown on the inside. Since I only have a half, it's impossible to tell what the imprint is. It looks like it could be a V or K if sideways on the pill. I found one other question similar to this one, but no real answer. Someone suggested it could be Sam-E, a supplement of some kind? But I cannot find any images for this drug either.
Ask kid. This may be a door to better communication. Ask a pharmacist. There are books that identify pills through pictures of the pills. A library or bookstore may have these books. Look under pills/pharmacology/nursing/medical. Unless there are some identifying marks visible on the pill it will be difficult, but still sounds like a pictorial might work on this pill with distinctive colors and at least a partial shape. One possibility, if you can't identify it (IF it is a capsule rather than just capsule shaped) is that someone has put something in an empty gelatin capsule.
