I was out of town the week after my period ended when I was supposed to start my birth control pills. I have missed 6 days of pills. I am currently using the Microgestin Fe for birth control and I have had unprotected sex once during the week I have missed my pills. My boyfriend did pull out before he came, but I was wondering if I should start my birth control now? Or if I should wait for my next period cycle until I start them up again?
Yes start it, since you don't use protection so need to get the pill in you. It won't hurt. Start with day one of the pills. Pulling out is NOT a method of birth control.
You can start over now if you want or you can wait for a period but if you wait, please use condoms and spermicide or refrain from sex until you are protected again if you do not wish to become pregnant. If unprotected sex was less than 2-3 days ago, you can try Plan b. Pulling out before ejaculation does little to nothing to protect you so do not count on that as "protection". Men release hundreds of sperm before they ejaculate and they cannot feel this release or can they tell at all it is happening. Since pregnancy does NOT occur more often than it does, you may luck out. Plan b may up your chances if sex was just a day or two ago.
