In May 2017, I suffered a non displaced transverse multi linear fracture of the third metatarsal neck of my left foot. A week after, my upper left thigh/hip/groin/buttox began a burning sensation that has gotten better or worse but still persists. No Dr. adequately helped me so my foot never healed. What is this pain being caused by and is it and the problem reversible? Will my leg be normal again?
It's very possible that after you injured your foot, you threw off your gait by adjusting your walk to accommodate your foot pain. That could easily cause problems and pain in the rest of your leg. If your foot hasn't been treated/healed correctly, your gait may still be off balance and causing pain. My suggestion would be to make an appt with an orthopedic surgeon. Through x-rays, etc... they should be able to give you a clearer picture as to what can be done to help your situation. I really wouldn't wait much longer, as the longer you wait, the more difficult it's likely to be to correct your problems. I hope this helps and you feel better soon!
