Does Prozac really help for binge eating? I've only been on it 2 days, but I don't know if it's helped at all. I just ate a packet of Tim Tams and I still want more. I feel tired and foggy. I just want to know if someone can give me some advice?
Was it prescribed for binge eating or are you just hoping it's an added benefit? Either way, it's going to take a week at the very least to notice changes and 4-5 weeks for full effects.
It may be that your doctor is treating an underlying cause for your binge eating, give it a chance. I have to say I have never heard of it being used for binge eating but then I do not know what causes binge eating or what satisfaction it may give.
It has never helped with my overeating, but then I've never taken as high of a dose as is prescribed for that.
