Eric; No interactions between the two so this should be fine but it is always a good idea to let the doctor know that you are taking any new over the counter medications or vitamin or protein supplements so if they add anything they have your complete drug history Chuck1957

Eric,
The pharmacist in the store where you go to look for products like diphenhydramine is always a good source for answers to these types of questions. He or she can direct you to the best products and what to stay away from. For instance, I have anxiety, so I would stay away from diphenhydramine because it can aggravate anxiety. It's the pharmacist's job to advise you about these type of questions. Just thought you'd like to know.

Hi, i have taken Diphenhydramine with Citalopram (also an SSRI) in the past with no complications. Diphenhydramine is only available via prescription here in the UK, so has the same doctor prescribed both medications?
