I was diagnosed with Hypokalemia recently and was given potassium in both pill form and an IV. I've since gone to the doctors and he feels I need this medicine to help me not be so afraid of it happening again. While reading up on this medicine I've seen Hypokalemia listed as a possible side effect and I've yet to begin taking the medication, thinking why would my doctor prescribe this for me!? I'm torn between starting the medicine to help with the anxiety in fear of what happened, happening to me again. Any insight as to what to do would be appreciated, also if anyone was diagnosed previously before taking this medicine or any other medicine. Because I developed the low potassium disorder without any usage of medicine.
