I'd never been to a dermatologist before, but had a hard to see spot on the vermillion border of my upper lip. She eyeballed it without any special light or magnifying, and said it was an Actinic Keratosis and I could do the freeze route or the cream route. I personally had a hard time seeing it myself that day.

I started the Fluoroplex cream (1%) on Sunday night, and Tuesday morning I see no redness or change of any kind. I know this stuff is supposed to make things ugly before they get better. Does it take time to see any change, like the redness I'm supposed to get? Or, am I putting this cream on an area that doesn't have an AK and the doctor was too quick and/or wrong?

I want to know what typically happens the first week and second week, for most people anyway. Thanks!
