If an unpleasant odor is present it is unlikely to be a yeast infection; see your doctor for advice.

I agree with Stephen. The medicine you asked about is the generic for Diflucan, which is used for yeast infections. If you are not sure it is yeast infection you should see your doctor as other issues could be at play. Proper diagnosis is very important to properly treat the problem. The odor you mentioned is not common with yeast infection.
