That depends... Did u wait until after u were finished taking the antibiotics I'm assuming u took that led to the yeast/ fungal infection? If you are still taking it, it will cancel out the fluconizole. You have to wait until the antibiotics are out of your system. But to answer your question more directly, yes, it does not work immediately, especially if you've had the infection a while... Basically, the longer you've had it, the longer it takes to get rid of it. Hope this helps.
