My father is a diabetic whom takes about 8 different pills a day. Not all for his diabetes. He was bitten by a poisonous spider about a week ago. I'm worried that he is over-medicaded.. He received 1 shot coctailo for the spider bite, then got a flu shot the same day along with a B12 shot. His doctor also has him taking valium, one at night & .5 in the morning.. What do u recommend?
A flu shot should not interact with a diabetic's meds or valium so no worries there. B12 shot is just Vitamin B12 and that wont interact either. Like Kaismama, I have no idea what you mean by "coctailo" Sometimes diabetics have a lot of comorbid conditions like high blood pressure and high cholesterol and it can take several medications to control all of these conditions. A 5mg Valium every PM and 1/2 pill in the AM is not a very big dose. I really dont see any problems going from the information you have provided here.
