Is flexeril a barbiturate?

It belongs to the drug class skeletal muscle relaxants.
Heavens no! It is classed as a muscle relaxant but chemically, it is related closely to the tri-cyclic antidepressants like Elavil (amitriptyline), and Pamelor (nortriptyline). It can cause profound drowsiness though.
