I am a little confused by your question. Have you or a friend just been diagnosed with Epilepsy? If that is the case, the first line of therapy is anti epileptic drugs. The neurologist will adjust the meds and the dosages in order to gain seizure control. Sometimes this takes a long time. It takes approx 6 weeks for your body to adjust fully to the meds. Doctors always use meds as a first line of therapy as it is not invasive and can be quite effective.

Best of luck!
