appreciate my family sooooooooooooo much more because it killed me to be there for 5 days without them. It was a bad hospital though they striped me of 4 of my meds. my regular meds my antidepressants meds which sent me into daily panic attacks and stopped eating and was vomiting from anxiety. And u met w/the psych. and social worker 1 time a day for 10 mins. no other counseling at all or therapy. Like a freaking warehouse over there take them in and ship them out. And they are not interested in any suggestions u have about your own treatment. It was awful!!! But again did its job off provigil I was abusing and i am so much closer with family and I family like I am apart of the world and life again.
Congrats and well done you for making it through detox, very proud of you and i hope you are proud of yourself. You're finally free from provigal(sp?)
Delighted to hear from you and that you achieved what you wanted, even though i'm sure it was'nt easy!!
Best of luck for the future and with your family,
I'm so glad to hear that you are free from the addiction to the Provigil. I know the experience in the detox center was horrible, but at least you are better now and on the path of recovery. Are you still seeing your therapist? Please address the addiction issues with the therapist.
Keep in touch and let me know how you are getting along,
Glad you're better! Sorry you had such a rough time, but I wanted to say in all fairness, most places are like that. At the hospital where I work, the doctors usually take you off of most of the medications while the get you leveled out. On the flip side, my hospital encourages patients to be active in their own treatment planning. We use both medications and therapy in order to treat the person. At any rate, the end result was achieved and I just glad you're better. Please take Laurie's advice and keep seeing the therapist... talking really helps you discover what's going on so that you can fix its underlying source. Good luck!
