Has anyone got fibromyalgia or CFS or chronic pain that seems to go into remission with Victoza. I have contacted the manufacturer and they said although they have heard of this they have done no trials so they could not comment. My doc thinks the energy is due to a steady flow of glucose. I'm very interested in this as i have to pay for a private prescription as the government won't acknowledge even a letter from my doctor saying the changes i have on it to off it are remarkable. I'm in a situation where i have to work to be able to afford it but i can only really manage the amount of work it takes to pay for it. Unfortunately I can't afford to higher my dose at the moment. Thanks in anticipation. Jo UK
It's interesting to know it helps your fibromyalgia because others have claimed it caused theirs or made it worse. An alternative or additive possibility is if you have neuropathy pains those could be helped by the Victoza as could the controlled glucose levels.
As far as I know, this isn't a common occurrence- and I should mention no statistically significant studies have actually shown Victoza to cause fibromyalgia- only raised a slight concern but it's important anyone taking it know it's unlikely to be a potential cause.
