Will need to take medication for Fibromyalgia. I do not want to recommence Lyria, Gabapentin or Cymbalta. I mainly suffer from widespread Stinging, Burning, Stingburn or Burnsting. I do not require any painkillers for this. Any suggestions? Thank you
What has helped my fibromyalgia tremendously is Trazodone which I have kept increasing through the years. This was because low doses knocked me out initially. Now at the peak dose, it serves as a great sleeping pill every night. But you would have to try it as it doesn't work for everyone.
Emeraldgirl, I agree with the drugs you don't want to take all but the Gabapenten,it has been very effective for nerve pain and is not hard to get off of if you want to relook at that,Another thing they really don't understand why but low doses of antidepressant's like amitriptylline aka Elavil have proven very effective in nerve pain,Many Diabetitcs take this for nerve pain in legs and face and this is another one that is not hard to get on or off of,I really wish i could be more help but this is one very hard to treat there are many off label drugs they do use for this but its not in the litature.I have taken Gabapenten got up to 2000mg and finally stoped the nerve pain but it stoped working on me.I would see what the doctor also says and go from there sorry i can't be of more help. Chuck Wise.Sr Cpht sorry i could not be of more help.this is a tough one god bless you..CW.
