... these meds at once. If so have you had any problems. I am suffering from insomnia at this time and cannot get through to my doctor that the meds mask my pain to a certain degree but I need help sleeping. I am concerned about taking so much medication and wondering if this is why I am not sleeping.
It is not unusual to take these three medications simultaneously. I doubt that that any of them are the root cause of the insomnia. You didn't mention the dosages or frequency of use for any of them, but as long as you are taking as prescribed you should be ok. Just remember you can not just stop the hydrocodone or the tramadol without having withdrawals. If you were to discontinue one, you would need to taper off slowly. For the insomnia you might try some over the counter solutions such as melatonin.
I also suffer from Insomnia and know first hand about going eight to fifteen days without sleep. I am wondering if your tramadol maybe helping your nerves shoot extra sense. Try taking only the hydrocodone apart from the lyrica. I can't tell you much about Lyrica as I had an adverse allergic reaction to it. I do agree about the Benadryl as posted before yet I have had great luck with Melatonin 5mg. Just one before sleep works for me when my body wants to rest. Hope this with the rest of the gangs recommendations help you .
I'm on hydrocodone and tramadol but don't take them very much. I can't take Lyrica because I would gain weight. Its cousin gabapentin put 50lbs on me and prednisone for my RA put another 50lbs+ on me.
Several things to help you get to sleep. Take a very warm bath with epsom salts before you go to bed. Sleep with a sleep mask to block out all light, especially blue light since that color messes with your melatonin. Take about 6mg of melatonin at night, 100mg of l-tryptophan, and DHEA. Those are sleep aids I use that help me out.
I run a fibro support group and have lots of documents to help fibromates out on my facebook page if you are interested. It's Boise Fibromyalgia Support Group.
I hope I have helped a little bit.
