... taking the effexor. I did so and the next day started taking the savella,it really works. But, now i am a raging idiot. I am very depressed and dont want to leave my home. Does any one out here take the savella an the effexor together. I would ratherhave the pain form the fibro than feel the depression. HELP
Talk to your doctor and see if he/she thinks that you might be a candidate for Subutex. It is good for your Fibomyalgia. Subutex also works on the Neurotransmitters. May I suggest Wellbutrin to go along with the Subutex.
This sounds like a great combination. So long as you are not allergic. If your physician does not have a license to prescribe this. Go to the NAABT.org web page. It will talk about Suboxone, you do not want this. But if a doctor can prescribe Suboxone they can prescribe Subutex.
Happy New Year
I have taken anti-depressants for Fibro. to include Effexor. I did try to take another anti-depressant .. at night to help me sleep, it wasn't Savella, it was Terazadond...
OMG ... I slowly (3 months) became so depressed I couldn't and didn't want to do anything. And I mean anything. They together also made my anxiety level so high I became worried about anything and everything. I went "cold turkey" off of the Terazadone, wasn't pleasent for a few days... but I did it. I just "weaned" off of Effexor, don't feel it is working for me anymore, I have taken it for about 4.5 years. You really need to talk to your doctor about this.
Do you take muscle relaxers? Tried Neurontin ?(spelling)
Doctor prescribe anti-depressants for fibro. to help with the nerve receptors of pain in the brain, and some do work for some people. Elivil worked for me for years. Slept like a baby on it, but it did become ineffective due to ??? don't I do have severe OA, and other health issues for which I do take other meds. pain, muscle, heart disease, ect. ect. I can't take anti inflamitory's due to CAD.
I am a person that does not like the side effects of an anti-depressant, and my doctor just gave me a starter pack for Savella, although I have not decided if I want to take it.
