yes because everyone has a difference tolerence to pain. Also because fibrmyalgai pain has the tendency to move to different areas of your body and of course the more active that you are the more you hurt,I am curious, does anyone else experience muscular pain in their buttocks whenever they try to walk, even for short distances?
Yes, I do. Starts from the hips, buttocks and all the way down my legs to my feet. Walking is just not my thing. Also if I sit too long the muscles in my buttocks will start hurting.
Hi:
The symptoms are different for everyone. I was diagnosed on 2001, but I was having symptoms many years before, but I didn't know about fm. In my case, I have muscular pains, not as bad as many cases I read over the internet, but I suffer from an horrible fibrofog, interstitial cystitis, ibs, sometimes vulvar spams, sometimes difficult when having intercourse. But the degree of the pain, definitely is different for everyone, and as you know, one day you could have mild pain, and the next day is worst, maybe you are more sensitive, or you overexert doing some activities like cleaning, etc.
Wow! almost like twins. I was dx in Nov 2001 & like you had symptoms for a long time before I found out what was wrong with me. Brainfog, interstitial cystitis, ibs. I have other symptoms too but we can really relate. My fibro has always been very severe. Worse in the earlier years. I've dealt with lung problems since 2006 which made me very inactive. When I did do something I would hurt so bad for about 3-4 dys. I recently moved and I've pushed myself more than I ever have. Yes, overexering=worse pain. I had no choice so I suffered through the pain but I haven't ever been this active since I've had it so I feel like it's helped me. I just joined thank you all for your comments. I think talking to people who can relate will be so helpful.
Prayers and more prayers, and take everyday things one at a time. I know that is very difficult, that sometimes you have to do the things because is not anybody else, like when you have to clean the house or moving like you did. But, if you can do all the cleaning today, clean only a little and tomorrow continue, because if not, you will pay with pain. So, that's what I do, I try to do a little today, and tomorrow we will see. God bless!!
Thank you! If you saw this house you'd say "has she even done anything"?
It's been a very slow go. I do what I can which doesn't seem like much but it is a lot more than I used to do. I know my inner & outer strength comes from the Good Lord Up Above. If I don't do enough I hurt, do too much I hurt. At least I'm more active than I've been in years which is a big accomplishment for me. You'd think after having it all these years I would learn to pace myself a little better. Especially after the experience and what I have learned. I know I can always learn more and who better to learn from than others who suffer with the same thing. Hope we get to talk more. Best Wishes To Everyone & May God Bless You Always!!

I agree about being the worst pain ever! Thank you for your comment back. I can't imagine not having a doctor or insurance. I'm sure you're not able to work and probably not the only one to suggest trying to get on disability. That's how severe mine is. I know what I go through I just can't even imagine what you have to deal with. People don't realize fibro isn't something that comes and goes. We have to deal with the pain each and every day. No matter if we try to exercise, how much water we drink, or what we take. My heart goes out to you & You will be in my prayers! It is a miserable way to live but my faith is strong and I do believe in miracles they've happened in my life.
I do work a part time job. It's excruciating. And, when I tell people that I have it, they just stare at me. Of course, with no doctor or insurance, life is no fun. I'm looking for a doctor, but, nobody here is taking new patients.
My heart truly goes out to you! I don't see how you even work at all. That's why my comments are spread out I can't sit in front of a computer it makes me hurt. My son does have an IPad he lets me borrow if I can get it I can talk to you more.Soon after I was diagnosed with fibro I started going to a support group. It really helped me alot. I listened to women who have been dealing with it for years like yourself. We would have a speaker most of the time. The leader and the other women said not to try to explain what fibro & what I was going through to friends or even family. They just can't comprehend it. I wished you lived in my area you wouldn't have a problem with doctors. I do know someone who is allergic to pain meds & has had it since she was a teenager. Her way of getting thru it is lots & lots of water. She makes her own food and she has a hot tub. We are not supposed to judge others! People who know this seem to still do it.

Doctors are the worse, tell them you are on pain meds they automatically think your a drug addict and treat you different after they find out. Very Pitiful!! My mother-n-law a couple of yrs back even asked me "You mean to tell me you hurt every single day?" She has arthritis so she don't hurt everyday & like everyone else can't comprehend the fact YES you hurt every single day! There's days where I couldn't get out of bed till my meds took affect. That is why I really don't see how you make it! Praying & having Faith gets me through. I really hope something comes through for you!!! I got on disability I know with you working that's not an option now. After 17yrs of going thru misery maybe an attorney can help. They don't get paid unless you get paid. When I said mine was severe the judge signed off on mine within 2-3dys. They told me it would be about 6mos. The attorney's that represented me said out of the 30yrs they've been doing this I was only the 2nd person to get it signed off that fast. To me you shouldn't have a problem getting it. Sorry so long again I do have other problems I'm adhd. I can talk & talk... but since I stay at home all the time I don't ever get to talk to anyone. So sorry for talking your head off but I hope you've gotten something out of this and that is people don't understand fibro. I can't stand all the Lyrica commercials. It makes it sound like if you take it you can go back to your old life & do what you use to without any pain. That's not true I take it & believe me it helps alot but you don't go back to your old self. That doesn't help people understand either they think you take something & you should be fine. I really don't know how you manage. Your a stronger person than you think! You should be proud of yourself that you have fibro & work and don't take anything for it. I've cried I've hurt so bad. You are alot stronger than myself I know that. I hope something comes your way no matter what it is! May God Bless You Always!
