... this, but feel?
Fibro can be caused by other bodily traumas, injuries and high stress. When you have these other chronic illnesses going in, it can trigger Fibro. You can hurt all over, be tired and have Fibro fog or lack of concentration/memory loss. I agree you want to make sure the doc isn't missing something else. Self care is very important - adequate sleep is a big one,
healthy eating, mild exercise. Not easy when you are in pain and don't feel good, that's me everyday. As for drugs, everyone is different but Cymbalta & Lyrica didn't work for me. Gave me more side effects without relieving the pain. Neurontin or Gabapentin is for seizures but also for nerve pain, which some Fibro pain can be. You have to work up to a high dose. After hitting about 1200 mg I couldn't stand it anymore! Felt tired and spaced out. Do some web research about Fibro. Some of the symptoms are the same for other conditions, so start keeping a daily health or pain journal to track how you're feeling and if there is any correlation between how you feel and what you've been doing , such as stressed out, not sleeping, over doing it, trying new meds, etc. This will help you - and your doctor in tracking your symptoms. Good luck and let me know how it goes for you! -Angel
