Does anyone have pain in the hands and numbness on the finger tips? I'm just wondering if it's from fibromyalgia or something else.
My right hand and arm became completely numb and non-functonal for purposeful movements in dec of 10. Today I can write again. I still have limited range of motion in my arm unless using my left arm to activate muscle memory. I have had physical therapy, CTs, MRI, and nerve and muscle tests and they can find nothing wrong. I have been being worked up for fibromyalgia for several months now and this is what they are blaming my symptoms. I have symptoms and neuralgia pain body wide on top of structural injuries I have sustained as well. Some feeling is slowly returning to my right arm and in places I can feel the nerve tract, like hitting your funny bone. This is all new to me. I do know that Amitriptyline and then Nortriptyline has diminished the neuralgia pain by at least 50%. I used to cry daily and have no quality of life, douse myself in the highest strengths of bengay like products they make and stay on a heating pad. All of this has lessend. I am being treated for back pain and go for my second back shot tomorrow in outpatient surgery. I also have Osteoarthritis. I was a musician, I could play 13 instruments and I sang as well. I've had to give most of that up. I am an avid music listener and sometimes pull out my guitar for brief periods to help boost my mental health and productivity. Let me know what you find out. This is all new to me, but I've suffered decades. Steph
