Fexofenadine/Pseudoephedrine - why is the 12 hour pill 2 colors and what do the colors represent?

I'm taking a guess here but many pills like these are designed with an immediate release and a slow release of medication so once you swallow the pill, half will dissolve and start to work right away while the other part will dissolve slowly so there is a delay in release-this allows the pill to cover you for 12 hours.
