Can someone please assist me with this answer (correctly: lol) I have looked online and only find various answers. If I am being prescribed Oxycodone, for my slipped disks in my back, and ran out 3 days before I go to my Dr's appointment, and use a fentynal patch, will there be a difference in the drug test? I am also on a low dose of methadone, as we are switching from the Oxycodone to Methadone. Basically, I don't want to ruin my pain managment program as I am doing very well with it, and my doctor is phenomenal, but I was wondering if there is a difference between the urine test, or because they are both opiate based, it will read the same. Thanks! By the way, it is a Calloway labs test cup, but reads a quick version on the cup for the dr.
It should read the same because they are both opiate based as you said. Unless the doctor has the lab break the test down to check on every drug in your system you should be fine. The test for trackin every drug in your system takes quite awhile and probably would need to be set out. Does your doctor send them out for awhile? I am glad I finally hear that someone has a good doctor. I hope this helps you some. But unless the doctor sends it out for almost a week you should be fine with that one. Good luck.
Try not to worry too much. Depending on how long you were on the percs, it will more than likely still show positive. And since you are switching meds, even if there is an "inconsistent" mark, the doc may attribute that to you stopping the percs. You thought you were supposed to stop the percs because of the methodone? Since you have been a good patient and always tested correctly in the past, why would they assume you weren't med compliant?
