Fentanyl is not a good long term pain killer. Look into methadone as it is probably the cheapest opiate you can get and it's also the strongest prescription you can use. You can't really go much higher than 200mcg.
If 200mcg isn't working well enough then obviously you need to change pain killers... Good luck... Dave
200 mcg is the highest dosage of Fentanyl you can take. I know you are still in pain and how much that sucks, but do not be tempted to take anything else with your patch or add another patch. You should talk to your health care provider about the problem.
Pain management can also include physical therapy, meditation and verbal counceling. Fentanyl is NOT a long term medication for pain control. I really wish there was something more I could offer!

I have been on fentanyl 150 mcg for 6 years my Dr has given me gabapentin 300 mg 2 a day is this ok?
