... mcg/hr of the Mylan brand, and I like the fact that it's small and that the adhesive is strong. What brand are you on, and do you like it? My favorite brand was Teva (brown patch with an Aluminum backing) but the company stopped manufacturing it.
Mylan is fantastic for adhesion and delivers Fentanyl fully over three days, Durogesic is great but delivers the medication too quickly. Sandoz patches have square edges and are paper thin (not enough experience about delivery) and one other brand which is hopeless and fully depleted in 24-36 hours.
I found the brand duragesic the only one that sticks to my skin and the mylan was just not helping my pain. Have multiple chronic pain disorders and have tried several brands. My Dr did have to write prior authorization for my med plan to cover costs. I found the mylan didn't last but maybe ,24 hours. Before the brand name was authorized I was using mylan about 6 months. I had to rely on my breakthrough meds more than I preferred. The first duragesic I used after months on mylan was like that aah feeling. Not as in any type of being high or even feeling ANYTHING! I just had relief. About eight hours after I realized I hadn't needed breakthrough meds as I usually did. It also lasted pretty much the three days. There are times its not all smooth sailing of course but cannot believe how consistent the duragesic brand is over the various other brands. It is hard enough having conditions that require these drugs. I hope you find a medicine that helps you feel better
Just joining the site. I have been off and on for years. I am now back on Fentanyl 50 MCs and have been on the one with gel in them.( Forgot brand name) I don't like the gel they don't last 72 hours. 48 at best , they are huge and uncomfortable to wear. I now have brand name Alvogen so any input would be great.
