is this a good idea? How much oxy oral would I need to take?I was in 2 severe horse accidents which destroyed my lefthip, femur, knee, and shoulder, and have had 17+ surgeries. Please tell me what you think??
Absolutely not. If the fentanyl is helping you he needs to leave it alone. Oxycodone isn't long acting and you don't use an immediate acting med for management of chronic of pain. The new oxycontin is virtually useless, they made it so you can't crush it, well most cant digest it either. If your doc doesn't know how to treat chronic pain, find another dr. With chronic pain, the goal is to prevent the pain from happening, because once it gets bad, taking an ir med isn't going to touch it.
