... suffer from a lower chronic back condition, a chronich neck condition, Fibromyalgia, Migraines, and Osteoarthritus in both of my knees. I tried it seems like everything until finally my pain dr. put me on Fentanyl Patches with Vicoden for breakthrough pain. I swear it works better than anything else, and I can actually play with my 4yr old some now. Has anyone else had any luck with this medicine?

I have had no bad side effects whatsoever. It's worked great for me. I am on 100 mg of the Fentanyl. I have alot of my life back.
It is wonderful to hear success stories on here. Seems like most are having chronic pain problems that have yet to find the solution. I use to use fentanyl patches (Duragesic) but fortunately don't have to anymore. Fentanyl works great for the opoid tolerant patient and you are on a goodly maintenance dose. Have fun with that 4 yr old and thanks for sharing.
relunmdsforrd, thank you for sharing! As my friend Laurie says it is great to hear a sucess story instead of always hearing how things don't work! Please feel free to share your previous experiences as it may be a help to others. There is nothing to be nervous about on this site, & welcome too...
i'm so glad ur getting ur life back!i too am on the fentanyl patch 75mcg's and i get oxycodone for breakthrough pain if the break through pain isn't eased with the oxy's i have fentora i can take once a day!believe me i will only take it when the pain is unbareable because with insurance 30 pills was 273 bucks !!i too have fibro and chronic back and stomach pain!arthris in my back knees shoulders ect.!four back surgeries and 20 plus stomach surgeries has left me with awful pain and doc says the stomach pain is mostly from scar tissue ,the remove it and it comes back!!but i am thankful that u have gotten ur life back!God bless
Ask your Doctor about Depakote, it is for siezures but was given to me to control the number of Migraines I had, they ruined my life. but now you can Imitrex to abort the headache it works very well. I do not get Migraines any more since I am in my seventy's, but just thinking about it gives me the chills.I have not had one in eight yrs but I still carry Imitrex in my bag, thats how afraid of them I am. You really need to see a Neurologist for Migraines not a general MD. Vicodin is Hydrocone, Percocet is Oxycodone. Percocet has more affect.Migrains are caused when the blood vessels in the brain dilate [ expand ] starting in the back of the neck then moving up to one side of your headand putting pressure on the nerves in you brain. The Imitrex has no pain med in it, strictly a vascular consticture and balances out the Seratonin in the brain.
These meds are called TRIPTANS, Remember if it dilates the blood vessels it will dilate all of them including the heart, It is important that you have a Cardio Vascular work up before its prescribed. I know all this because I suffered for fourty years with them, and there were no medications in those days. Sorry this is long but please do see a Neurologist and he can put you on a regime to help block the headaches. Remember that you can not go by what I say, I am just giving you the benefit of fourty yrs.Good Luck. Where do you live, If its in the U S A theses meds are expensive.
