I suffer from chronic pain taken fentanyl 50mcg,HYDROCODONE 10/325, Valium 5mg, bupropion 300mg and viibryd 20mg. My question is, should I wear some kind of medical ID tag?
Hi, sick! I wear a medic alert tag and carry a list of my meds with my license and insurance card. With the narcotics and benzos you're taking you could be in serious trouble if you were ever unconscious or unable to give a medical history!
Best wishes. WCV
P.S. You can print out a list of your meds ~ full and wallet-sized at *Mednotes* at the top of this page.
I wear a medic alert USB Dog Tag. I can list my doctor, insurance plans, etc. I have too many problems for a regular bracelet or tag. I was in a car wreck, and my wallet slide out of my purse and under the seat. I was beginning to wonder if I had left it home. I don't always carry a purse or wallet with me. Can you imagine me on a ladder patching the roof with a purse? I also don't want to carry a wallet-I'd rather not take the chance of losing it or having it stolen. I can't walk very far now- but I'm not dead yet.
You should wear or carry something with you that list the medications that you are on, and all medical conditions that you may have, just in case something happens to you and you can't speak for yourself. I have a bracelet that is also a flashdrive that can be put into any computer and all of my medications are on it as well as any important medical information about me that may be helpful in a medical emergency and that includes people to contact. I also carry a card in my wallet with the same information and I have a card that is in the glove compartment of my car too! You can never be too safe.
