I had pinched nerves in my back and my feet started hurting and feeling really stiff like walking on rock they hurt really bad
Hello moocow1965, the nerves in your feet start in your back so this would explain or should explain the pain in your feet. Another reason could be you coincidentley have gotten plantar facitis of the feet which is quite painful & left untreated will only get worse. What years ago used to be called 'fallen arches'.If the worst pain is after you have slept or rest, & upon rising have horrible pain in your heels that's probably what it is. I suggest you see a podiatrist if these are your symptoms. they can give you shots in your feet to help the inflamation, a series of special streches you can do, and/or special inserts to wear in your shoes. Going barefoot at this point if it be the plantar fascitis(sp)is a no no. The streching exercises is about the best cure there is, but you need instruction on how to do them correctly...
I agree that walking is also important. If you are doing very little the balls of your feet will start to round and this makes you unstable. Then you adjust posture and that irritates the back. PT is a great idea. Until then carefully sit up and lower your feet to the floor very gently. Take your time. Don't put your full weight until it is more comfortable. The pain won't disappear but it will lessen.
Sorry to hear this is painful. Hope you can get an appointment soon.
