I been feeling really off lately, for example numbness in 1 or both arms, dizziness extreme extreme tiredness, headaches, loose stools, loose of appetite, anxiety, confusion, depression, hostility soreness on n off what is wrong with me. I have no interest in everyday life
I have seasonal affective disorder. SAD. As the days get shorter my mood tends to drop. I get depressed. Also affects me physically and is the time I get a flu or cold And my immune system is quite low. Starting next week though the days get longer. My body reacts to the days getting longer even if it’s a couple of minutes each day especially by January when it’s cold here and the days are sunny. It took many years for me to recognize that I am affected by the shorter days. All i knew was to come down with a cold or flu and I get depressed in the Fall. Now know when to expect it and then to see that it will pass as the days get longer. good luck
Hi, TM! With the symptoms you're describing I think you'd be wise to follow arabian's advice and schedule an appointment for a full physical exam with bloodwork to determine why you're feeling this way. There is probably an underlying cause that needs to be diagnosed and treated appropriately.
Best regards and good luck. Wildcat
Absolutely see a doctor. But if you're like a lot of us out there who do not have insurance try changing your diet, if you drink even one glass of wine, don't drink at all. If at all possible try to alleviate some stress. I'm not a doctor by any means but I have dealt with so many health issues including every single thing that you have mentioned and then some for many many many years and I'm young. it is very hard to diagnose the symptoms that you're having because so many of those type of symptoms mimic different ailments. So, your doctor's first course of action will more than likely be to put you on some sort of antidepressant. Which I guess is okay but in my opinion it's kind of like putting a Band-Aid over the problem. You need to get to the root of the problem and figure out what is causing these symptoms. And to figure that out takes a slew of tests sometimes, unless the problem is very obvious.
My best piece of advice is don't give up don't let some Dr hand you this pill and that pill and this pill and that pill and try to make it better by popping pills. Believe me I've been there done that. And you very well may be depressed and need an antidepressant or something of that nature, like I said I'm not a doctor. But if you see a doctor who is very dismissive of what you're going through definitely go to someone else. It took me 10 years and seven different doctors to get a diagnosis of a disease that I have because they all told me I was crazy, I was bipolar, and all sorts of stuff. But I knew that was not true, I knew that there was something actually wrong. And yes, I definitely have some mental issues I have suffer from anxiety and depression and PTSD but I also have physical problems. I have fibromyalgia at the least, currently trying to gather the money to have the proper testing done to see exactly what's going on with my body. Just remember it's usually never one thing especially when you have a bunch of different symptoms. most of the time it's a couple different things that are ailing you. But back to the fibromyalgia thing, every symptom that you have mentioned can be caused by that. But please don't let anyone tell you, including a doctor, that you're just depressed without doing a thorough investigation of your body to make sure that there is nothing else going on. I hope this helps and I wish you the best!
