Have been taking 75mcg of levelthyroxine one day and 100 mcg the next for 3 weeks, I still feel unwell most days, either very tired or feeling anxious. My blood results show ok.
Is this how it was prescribed? Seems to me you would have a hard time adjusting with the dosage changing that often. usually I would say give one dose 2-3 weeks before making a judgment call, this sounds a bit strange to me, not sure how you could adjust to such a schedule. I would ask the Dr to keep you on just one dose for 2-3 weeks and see if things level out for you. Just sayin'
The effectiveness of Levo takes a minimum of 6 weeks before it has built up enough in your system. I was checked every six weeks after an adjustment in dose. It took me six months initially before I felt ok. From time to time it will need to be adjusted again. That is just how it works. Effective range for TSH is .5 to 3.0. Some people do better higher. I best around 1.2. Working carefully with your endocrinologist will get you there. Hang in there.
