He is now getting yellow drainage from the wrist. what to do? please reply soon
If the drainage is a clear yellow fluid and there is no redness or increased warmth around the incision then it is okay. It is just what we call serous fluid. If the drainage is cloudy yellow like pus and the area is red, he may have an infection and will need to see his surgeon again. If you are unsure, the best thing is to let the surgeon take a look again.
