I ate half a bagel and then ran six miles before my blood draw. The instructions were to fast for 8 hours, but I only fasted for 6 hours. Do you think this will affect the result of the blood draw? My results came back as pre-diabetic. I am 5'7" tall, female, age 51, weight 135 lbs, very active. No risk factors other than my brother got the same diagnosis but he is very overweight.
It really depends what you were fasting for but the results that require fasting are likely to less accurate than normal.
You gave up after 6 hours? I just had a twelve hour pre test fast and it was no drama. It may have been 14; when I checked the clock to get some food it was too late.
