I have been taking Brintellix for several months now and I am at the highest dose. However, I am still physically tense and my mind races at times making it hard for me to concentrate and fall asleep. Sometimes I find myself clenching my fists or gritting my teeth and I get very anxious driving or being out in public in large crowds. I am seriously considering asking my doctor about putting me on Klonopin but one of my downfalls is that I have little to no patience so I want it to work the first time. I have done extensive reading on Klonopin, Xanax, Valium and Ativan and everyone seems to agree that Klonopin is the winner. I would just like some input from anyone who is or has been on it to tell me what they think. Thanks!!
kris; Klonopin is not a medication that you have to wait for it to build up It well help relieve you symptoms from the first dose 1/2 hour or so. Yes it does seem to be one of the top benzodiazepines over the rest for it's action Make sure you take it at home a few times prior to trying to drive and such to see how it affects you And it should help with the symptoms you have put down. Just make sure you use it as directed and don't take more than prescribed. so hopefully it well work the way you want it to.and cut out some of the side effects of the Brintellix also and just the normal anxiety.
