Her (my daughter who is 4 years old)pelvic bone was healing but suddenly last week her pain returned and was limbing .Dr took a bone scan and suspects that there is an infection. They want to take an MRI and if there is an infection they want to flush out the same... pls explain flush out
A hip infection in children is not very common, based on what I was reading. They probably already have her hooked up and on her way. But basically flushing involves keeping the child sedated and the surgical wound open while the infection is irrigated and clears up, after which the wound will be closed back up and the little one can go home. Very hard to see a little child go through this but I trust she is in good hands. God be with you. ~~millison
