I have a friend who has recently failed his state drug test, but had only been out of jail for 15 days exactly the day of his probation meeting.. He had taken the drugs while in jail, would there be any exception possible for him to use even though he's already been violated?
I used to work for the prison system in Kentucky. All states have different rules and regulations, but I'll give you what info I have.
If he's already been violated, and placed back in jail, he might try asking to speak with his parole officer and just come clean with him. And with the parole board members at his revocation hearing. At this point these are his only chances. If his parole officer makes the recommendation to allow him to remain on parole, most likely the board will allow him to do so. It's much less expensive, for the state, for a person to be managed on parole than to be maintained in jail.
Inmates are notorious for being manipulative and deceptive. It won't be easy for your friend to convince his po and the parole board, but that's about the only avenue open at this point.
