I have been on Skelaxin for sev. years and was doing fine with its help. When uHC took over our health plan ppo group and it was time for a refill, they refused and while dr. appealed 3x, he was turned down all 3 x. The two suggestions they had that they would pay for if I switched gave me really bad side affects, and I need to get back on generic form of Skelaxin but it's $388 for a month's supply. How can I get help with paying for this? I know about goodrx, etc. companies but are there other options?
Have you tried checking with the manufacturer of the brand? Some of them have assistance. I hate what the insurances are doing. They used to listen to drs with situations like yours, now they are practicing their own medicine. If its for pain in any way they don't want to pay.
