You may need to make some pretty extreme changes in diet and habits. Alcohol consumption has to stop. Any recreational or legitimate use of amphetamines will kill you very quickly. When your bilirubin falls below ~30 umol/L your eyes should start to go white again. Give it a few weeks if things don't improve. If they don't you will have to have some blood testing (full blood exam called MBA20 in Australia) LFT's (liver function) FBE (blood exam) and INR (clotting time).
Stephen's right. This is nothing to fool around with. Jaundice means your liver is not functioning well and has been damaged. Cleaning up your act can go a long way to helping you feel better. No illicit drug use and even over the counter drugs can be harmful, especially Tylenol/acetaminophen/paracetamol so be sure to ask about ANY medication you are thinking of taking-even supplements and over the counter drugs-you dont want to stress your liver out more than it already is. Most all drugs are cleared from the body by the liver and drugs can severely damage your liver. so if you are using-STOP NOW! You will need to have regular follow up starting with a primary care physician and most likely a "liver specialist" or hepatologist. Dont be scared, you can overcome this but you will really need to pull off some life style changes. If you are addicted, get help from an addictionologist. It may take months for your jaundice to go away and it wont like Stephen said until your biliruben comes down.
