I’ve had problems with anxiety and depression and I was taking Rextulti plus Wellbutrin plus a low dose of Klonopin for anxiety. The doctor had me stop the Rexulti because of weight gain and switched me to Viibryd. She gave me a starter pack and I got about two days into the second/20mg week and I had my first panic attack ever. Anxiety through the roof and generally barely able to work or function. It has been 21 days since my last dose and I still wake up with much higher than normal anxiety but it hasn’t been crippling like it was when I was on the Viibryd. It’s like a general sense of dread about starting the day. Sometimes I worry that this is my new “normal”, which makes me worry more. Has anyone had this experience with Viibryd? If so, how long did it take you to feel normal after discontinuing it?
Jm; first what you were feeling with the viibryd was normal, it does increase the anxiety and depression normally for the first 2 weeks or so by that time it starts to get in your system better and you don't feel that increase or panic attacks if that were to continue after the 2 weeks or so then you should have checked with the doctor before just stoping it even when you have been on it for 2 it could easy be 4 to 5 weeks before you feel more like you did before but you really should let the doctor know you should not have to feel like this.
