I'm getting headaches and dizziness and it's driving me crazy! Also, what is the best antidepressant to treat social anxiety? That's my main concern. Any help would be so appreciated.
It is best to taper off an antidepressant rather than stop one abruptly so to avoid withdrawals. If the headaches and dizziness are unbearable, might be best to do this. There are many different antidepressants that work great for social anxiety disorder. Unfortunately, it isn't a one size fits all. It requires a trial and error sort of approach. I can recommend the most popular are Zoloft and Lexapro. Have you tried Zoloft? Another couple that our doctors at the clinic where I work prescribe frequently are Paxil and Celexa. Again, it is trial and error, but well worth the effort once you find the one that works for you.
