I have, and as the dose is increased, it gets worse. I am at 75 mg at the moment but I will probably have to go back to 50 mg because of the urinary retention.
May I ask if you are taking Savella for fibromyalgia? I'm taking Neurontin (or Gabapentin) for fibro and I am having urinary retention as well.
I'm wondering if both of these medications have something in common that causes urinary retention. I've heard Savella is an antidepressant, but prescribed for fibro pain. Neurontin is an anti-seizure medication that helps with the nerve pain of fibro. I don't know if there is a similarity or not, but just wanted to let you know that you are NOT alone. Urinary retention is really a drag, it can take me 8 minutes to urinate, where before Neurontin, it took about 40 seconds!
Is it this drastic for you? Do you find this embarassing in public restrooms such as restaurants?
Good day to you!
